Where Bali Flies: Launch Sites, Lagoon & Heliports

Each activity has its own home. Tandem paragliding launches from the Bukit Peninsula: Timbis, Gunung Payung and Tanah Barak in Desa Kutuh, Gunung Riug above Sawangan, and the Uluwatu cliffs from October or November to March per operator season notes. Parasailing runs off the calm Tanjung Benoa lagoon, ten minutes from Nusa Dua. Helicopters lift from private heliports at Benoa, Nusa Dua Selatan and Melasti in Ungasan, not the airport. Seaplanes and jets use the general-aviation apron at Ngurah Rai.
