Bali's flying is unusually compact. Every tourist paragliding site sits on the Bukit Peninsula in Kuta Selatan; parasailing runs only at Tanjung Benoa, about ten minutes from Nusa Dua; scenic helicopters lift from private heliports at Benoa, Nusa Dua Selatan and the Melasti Beach road; seaplanes and private jets use Ngurah Rai. That means your flight day already sits inside the best ground itinerary on the island — Uluwatu, Nusa Dua and, a little further north, Ubud.

Day 1 — After Landing
Bali's flights keep short windows: parasailing operators work the calm morning lagoon and paragliding operators publish afternoon hours, so you usually land with half a day still ahead of you. Don't drive straight back to Seminyak. Use the afterglow where you already are:

Day 2
A flight day in Bali is short in the air and long on the ground — the pickup loop, the waiting for wind or tide, the sun at the launch site. Day two works best as a slow day with no early call time and nothing that depends on the weather.

Day 3 Onwards

What works: change the flight family, or change the element. A helicopter shows you the cliff you launched from; a seaplane turns a flight into an island hop; a sea day resets the scale completely. Three options, ranked by how much contrast they add after a first flight:
Tourist helicopters in Bali depart private heliports, not the airport — Benoa Heliport in Denpasar Selatan, Nusa Dua Selatan in Sawangan and the Melasti Beach road in Ungasan. Published scenic loops run from ten-minute coast hops to all-island circuits of well over an hour, passing the GWK statue, Uluwatu Temple, the Melasti and Pandawa beaches and the Nusa Dua Waterblow, with longer routes to Nusa Penida, Tanah Lot, Jatiluwih and Mount Batur (operator pages, Sep 2026).
