Ask the DeskAlmost all of Bali's flying sits in the south of the island, yet each base is its own world. Tandem paragliding launches from the Bukit Peninsula in Kuta Selatan: Timbis, Gunung Payung, Pandawa and Tanah Barak in Desa Kutuh, Gunung Riug above Sawangan, and the Uluwatu and Pecatu cliffs; the FASI registry records the Timbis launch at 70 m above sea level with a 100 m glide to the beach. Parasailing is a different sport in a different place, a boat-towed flight over the sheltered lagoon at Tanjung Benoa, about ten minutes from Nusa Dua. Helicopters lift from private heliports, not the airport, while the seaplane and private jets use Ngurah Rai. Inland, the only balloon in Bali is a tethered ride at Tanah Gajah near Ubud.
Because Bali Sky Adventure is a booking desk and not an operator, it is not tied to any one base. Every figure above is an operator or OTA price with its source and month, never a Bali Sky Adventure tariff, and may change at any time. Where a base publishes nothing, the desk obtains a written quotation from the licensed operator and passes it on unchanged.
On the Bukit, paragliding runs in the afternoon sea-breeze window, with operator hours clustered between about 11:00 and 17:00: the operator's pilot briefs you, you launch from the cliff edge and glide 10 to 15 minutes to a beach landing. Tanjung Benoa starts early, because the lagoon is calmest in the morning and operators note the water receding after noon; you are fitted with a harness and life jacket on the beach before a 5 to 6 minute boat-towed flight. Both are weather-called on the day by the operator, never by the desk.
Heliports are quieter and more formal. Balicopter asks guests to arrive 20 minutes early for the mandatory aviation-authority briefing at Nusa Dua Selatan, Air Bali requires government photo ID for every passenger at Benoa Heliport, and every operator enforces a payload limit that decides whether a flight goes. At Ngurah Rai the seaplane boards up to eight guests for a 40-minute Scenic Bali loop or a fixed flight to the Gili water-landing site, while private jets are handled through the FBO on the south apron, where customs and immigration are cleared on request. The desk confirms operator, slot and pickup in writing before you travel to any base.
Bali Sky Adventure is built for travellers who want the flight day to fit around their resort or villa, not the other way round. From Nusa Dua and Benoa, the Tanjung Benoa lagoon is about ten minutes away and the Nusa Dua Selatan heliport is on the same peninsula. From Uluwatu, Pecatu and Jimbaran you sit inside the free pickup zones the Bukit paragliding operators publish. From Seminyak and Canggu, the Canggu/Nuanu helicopter base at Beraban, Tabanan is the nearer heliport, and the Klook Timbis listing prices a Canggu paragliding pickup at IDR 300,000 per car. From Ubud, the tethered balloon at Tanah Gajah is the local option.
