Bali Helicopter Proposal Package: Prices & Booking

6 min read · Updated 18 Sep 2026

A Bali helicopter proposal package is a short private loop, usually 10 to 20 minutes, flown from a South Bali heliport over Uluwatu, Melasti, and Pandawa, timed to your moment. Reference prices run from IDR 6,899,000 (Balicopter, 10-minute private) to USD 842 per group (Viator, 12-minute, Sep 2026).

What Counts as a “Proposal Flight” in Bali?

A proposal flight is not a scheduled sightseeing seat you share with strangers. It is a private or near-private loop, flown from one of South Bali’s heliports — Benoa, Nusa Dua Selatan, or the Melasti Beach road in Ungasan — over the Uluwatu cliffs, Melasti’s turquoise inlet, and the Pandawa coastline, with the timing built around the exact minute you plan to bring out the ring.

Juara Holding Group runs an independent concierge desk, not a helicopter operator. We do not own aircraft, employ pilots, or hold an air operator certificate. Every flight below is arranged with a licensed South Bali heliport operator; prices and durations come from public operator and OTA listings as of September 2026 and change without notice.

If you are planning a full wedding day — ceremony, multiple stops, guest transport — that is a different logistics problem than a 15-minute proposal loop. Route wedding-day helicopter charters to balihelicharter.com; this page covers proposal and anniversary flights only.

Which Proposal Format Fits Your Moment?

Three formats cover most proposals. Pick by budget, privacy, and how tightly you need the moment choreographed.

Format Duration Seats Price reference What the desk coordinates
Private loop, moment briefed 10-20 min Private charter, up to 4 IDR 6,899,000 promo (10 min) to IDR 14,299,000 promo (20 min), Balicopter, Sep 2026 Pilot briefed on the exact ring-out minute; photographer positioned at the heliport pad for landing; villa transfer timed to check-in; dinner table booked for after landing
Seat pair, shared loop ~12 min 2 seats on a shared flight From USD 842 per group, Viator, Sep 2026 Both seats confirmed together; pilot briefed discreetly since other passengers are aboard; photographer meets you at the heliport gate; transfer timing only, no exclusive privacy
Sunset slot before last flight 10-20 min Private or seat pair Same price bands as above, subject to slot availability Books the day’s final flight window (heliports typically stop flying around 17:00-18:00); confirms light timing with the pilot; holds a backup slot for delay; dinner table held nearby

The private loop is the only format where the pilot is briefed specifically on your ring moment and the flight path can pause or circle Uluwatu for a few extra seconds. The shared seat pair is the budget entry point but shares the cabin with unrelated passengers, so treat it as a scenic flight with a private aside, not a stage.

What Can Break the Surprise?

Before you build the story you’ll tell your partner about “just a sunset flight,” plan around what the airfield actually requires.

Constraint Why it matters What to plan around
Mandatory pre-flight briefing (about 20 minutes) Both passengers check in and are briefed together; there is no way to keep the flight itself hidden from the airfield onward Have a cover story ready before you arrive — a sunset tour or anniversary photo shoot works better than “surprise”
Body weights required at booking Cabin weight limits (an R66, for example, carries about 330 kg total including the pilot) mean both passengers’ weights go on the manifest in advance Give accurate weights when you book; a last-minute change can bump you to a different aircraft or seat allocation
Weather is the pilot’s call Wind, rain, or low cloud can delay or cancel the flight, and there is no guaranteed same-day reschedule Build one backup day or slot into your plan; never tell your partner the sunset is guaranteed
Nyepi and island-wide closures Bali’s Day of Silence halts all flight operations, with no exceptions Avoid booking near Nyepi; confirm the operator’s calendar when you lock a date

We will not promise flowers, cake, or in-cabin decoration on your behalf. Some operators allow it, most don’t, and the ones that do require written confirmation before the flight, not a verbal yes from a booking agent. If a decorated cabin matters to you, ask us to get it in writing first — we won’t claim it’s included unless the operator has confirmed it.

How Does Booking Actually Work?

  1. Message the desk with your preferred date and time window, and how many passengers.
  2. Send both passengers’ names and body weights — required for the flight manifest.
  3. The desk checks live availability across the South Bali heliports for that date.
  4. The desk confirms which format fits (private loop, shared seat pair, or sunset slot) and sends the current price reference for that slot.
  5. You share secrecy notes — what your partner knows, and the cover story you want ground staff to stick to.
  6. You arrive 20 minutes early for the mandatory briefing; both passengers must be present.
  7. Photographer, villa transfer, or dinner add-ons are confirmed only once the operator has accepted them in writing — never assumed on your behalf.

What Should You Not Expect?

A few honest limits, stated up front so nothing surprises you on the day. There is no guaranteed sunset — cloud cover happens even in dry season, and the pilot decides, not the schedule. There is no guaranteed complete surprise, since the joint pre-flight briefing means your partner will know something is happening before boarding, even if not what. We do not fabricate reviews, awards, or “as seen in” claims for any operator we work with, and we will not promise decoration, catering, or champagne unless the operator has confirmed it in writing for your specific flight.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can a Bali helicopter proposal really stay a surprise?

Partially. The mandatory joint pre-flight briefing means your partner checks in and is briefed alongside you, so the flight itself won’t be a total surprise from arrival onward. What you control is the story beforehand — most couples frame it as a sunset tour or anniversary flight and let the ring moment be the actual surprise once airborne.

How much does a Bali helicopter proposal package cost?

Published references run from IDR 6,899,000 for Balicopter’s 10-minute private South Bali loop up to IDR 14,299,000 for a 20-minute private flight (Balicopter, Sep 2026), or from USD 842 per group for Viator’s 12-minute shared “Love in the Air” flight. Final pricing depends on the operator, date, and format you choose.

What happens if it rains or the wind picks up on our date?

The pilot makes the weather call, not the desk or the operator’s booking staff. If conditions are unsafe, the flight is delayed within the day where possible or moved to a backup slot. Build one backup day into your plan rather than anchoring the proposal to a single irreplaceable hour.

Do we need to tell the pilot about the proposal in advance?

Yes, for the private loop format. The desk briefs the pilot on your ring-out timing so the aircraft can hold position or circle over Uluwatu at the right moment. For the shared seat-pair format, the briefing is more discreet since other passengers are aboard, so the pilot’s flexibility is more limited.

Can we add a photographer or champagne to the flight?

We can request either, but neither is included by default and we won’t promise it until the operator confirms in writing. A ground photographer at the heliport landing pad is the more reliable option; in-cabin champagne or decoration depends on the aircraft and operator’s own policy for that date.
